Wrestler Chris Benoit, Family Dead

A jarring shock for the WWE community today comes with the sudden death of wrestler Chris Benoit. The Toronto Star reports that the Canadian wrestler as well as his wife, Nancy, and their son were discovered dead at their home. The Benoit family lived in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. Nothing else is known at the moment aside from the fact that authorities are delving into the deaths and combing the Benoit residence for clues. The death of the WWE star was posted on WWE's website with an announcement that tonight's presentation of "WWE Raw" would be a tribute to Benoit and his wife and son.

Benoit took sick leave over last night's Pay-Per-View wrestling event though the reason for his call is unknown.

Canadian Chris Benoit was born in Montreal and had also lived in Edmonton. He was 40 years old.
