Paris Hilton Released
Paris Hilton said so long to Lynwood this morning after completing 23 days at the state prison in California for violating probation and driving on a suspended license while intoxicated. At approximately fifteen minutes after midnight the heiress walked out of the prison and into a car where her mother Cathy Hilton waited for her daughter. She did not give any interviews to reporters yet held hands with some of the fans that waited outside for her release.
Hilton's license was initially suspended in September 2006 as she was detained for driving under the influence of alcohol. Later this year, she was sentenced to 45 days in jail after driving under the suspended license. Her sentence was shortened for good behavior as usual, with no preferential treatment given to the celebrity.
Shortly after the heiress' imprisonment, her attorney released a statement saying jail was the hardest thing Paris has ever had to endure. The fact was supported with a letter sent by Hilton to a fan 16 days after her detention in which she described being "sad and alone" and going through a "very difficult time".After her release, the Hilton hotel heiress was driven to her grandmother's estate to have a private gathering with her friends and family.
