Isaiah Washington's first interview after dismissal from Grey's Anatomy

He got fired for saying the f-word so why is he talking about the n-word now?

Isaiah Washington gave his first interview since his dismissal from "Grey's Anatomy" on Larry King Tuesday where he lashed out about his co-stars and regretted his actions. "I'm not a homophobic--in no way, shape or form" claimed Washington about his recent fame. Washington explained it was his co-star Patrick Demsey's fault for constantly arriving late on the set that led to his blow up.

"(Dempsey) became unhinged, face-to-face, spittle to spittle, in my face. I'm asking him, 'Why are you screaming at me?' He became irate. By that time I pushed him out of my face and I began to say, 'There's no way you're going treat me like a 'b word,' a 'p word,' or a 'f word' in front of our crew," explained Washington. "I wish I had said, 'You're not going to treat me like a 'n-word' because that's how I felt."

Washington also claimed the f-word was not meant as a homophobic comment, but as a sign of weakness and that the derogatory meaning was taken upon co-star T.R. Knight with the intent of forwarding his career. "He misrepresented himself," Washington stated. "He has been very disappointed in playing the character he has been playing. He told me that."

Finally, Washington did admit to regreting his actions at the Golden Globe Awards where he took the microphone during a cast interview and announced he "never called T.R. Knight a f----t" and that a lesson has been learned from the whole experience: "Focus on your acting. Don't worry about production issues and in times of great stress and duress just keep your mouth shut."
