Britney apologizes for attacking car with an umbrella

Britney Spears is apologizing for her actions -- or at least one of them. On a formal letter posted on her website, britneyspears.com, the former pop star claimed her bald attack on a photographer's car with an umbrella was not a rage attack, merely acting. "I was preparing my character for a role in a movie where the husband never plays his part so they switch places accidentally. I take all my roles very seriously and got a little carried away," confessed Spears.

In February, shortly after shocking the world by shaving her head, Spears hit a sports car repeatedly with an umbrella after entering a rehab center for the third time.

Out of rehab and currently facing legal issues with her mother concerning her two sons, Spears is now reportedly staging a come-back tour as well as working on a new album.
