I couldn't be happier, Nicole Richie sits down with OK! Magazine

OK! Magazine has released an interview in which the "Simple Life" star, Nicole Richie, 25, opens up about becoming a mother to ABC News' Diane Sawyer. Richie is four months pregnant with her live in man, rocker Joel Madden, and is living every girl's dream.

"I couldn't be happier. I will really be happy once I have done my jail time," Richie said, "I can start fresh."

The soon to be mother was sentenced to four days in a Los Angeles jail for a DUI charge. "I don't consider it one of the worst. I think this was a blessing in disguise. This year has been full of lessons learned and soul searching and realizing I'm an adult," she told OK! magazine on Saturday just one day after her sentencing. "It's time to take responsibility and not take the easy way out."

For the past few months Richie and Madden have been able to keep a low profile, despite the fact that Madden's band, Good Charlotte, is about to kick off a nationwide tour with Justin Timberlake.

"I want to be happy and stable. My life is clearly going to slow down," Richie said. Her sit-down with Sawyer will air on "Good Morning America" and "20/20" on Thursday and Friday.
