Imus is Planning to Make a Comeback.

Controversial radio broadcaster, Don Imus is preparing his comeback to radio now that the smoke has cleared.

Former radio broadcaster, Don Imus is ready to saddle up for a new boss. He's reportedly in discussions with New York's WABC-AM, among others.

Imus was fired earlier this year from his syndicated show "Imus in the Morning" for his highly charged, derogatory and racial remarks toward the Rutgers girls basketball team.

Despite Imus' repeated expressions of regret and a flurry of on-air apologies, civil rights leaders organized protests and called for a boycott of the show, which aired on radio stations nationwide and was simulcast on MSBNC.

The cable news channel was the first to boot Imus, and the radio network followed suit a day later.

Imus brought a $120 million lawsuit against CBS Radio for breach of contract after he was let go on April 12. Since the lawsuit, the I-man and the Eye net have finally ironed out their differences.

The deal, announced in a joint statement from the network and Imus' attorney Martin Garbus, also clears the way for Imus to plot a return to the airwaves with a new employer.

"He's told me he's definitely coming back," said long-time friend Kinky Friedman. "He's very much like Jesus. He's coming back, and boy is he PO'd."
