DVD Dribble

If you're looking for a laugh, then this DVD Dribble is for you. Some of the most popular comedians got their start on "Saturday Night Live." This edition of the DVD Dribble covers movies by famous "SNL" cast members.

Will Ferrell is the first "SNL" alum that is going to be discussed in this Dribble. His film "Blades of Glory," which also stars "Napoleon Dynamite's" Jon Heder and another "SNL" cast member, Amy Poehler, comes in full screen, widescreen, Blu-ray, and HD DVD versions. The comedy about Olympic male figure skating does not include any special features.

Will Ferrell fans are in luck. Another one of his films is back out on DVD, this time as a special edition. "A Night at the Roxbury - Special Edition" does not contain any special features. The movie was based off of a skit that Ferrell and Chris Kattan did for SNL about two guys that constantly go to dance clubs in New York City to try and pick up women. The movie also stars their fellow "SNL" castmate Molly Shannon.

Molly Shannon also stars in the film "Year of Dog." Shannon plays a secretary who goes crazy and changes her lifestyle once her dog dies. There are no special features on this DVD either.

"SNL - The Best of '06\07" closes out this edition of the DVD Dribble. It features some of the most popular sketches of the 2006-2007 season of "Saturday Night Live," which includes Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg's "Dick in a Box;" "A-Holes," featuring Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig; and Maya Rudolf and Amy Poehler's "Bronx Beat." Some of the featured hosts include Alec Baldwin, Dane Cook, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Laurie, Matthew Fox, Ludacris, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Peyton Manning. The DVD contains audio commentary by the cast and writers, two never-before-seen sketches, and funny outtakes.

At least one or more stars of the DVDs in this Dribble were cast members of "Saturday Night Live." Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon, and Amy Poehler are in a few DVDs coming out this month.
