DVD Dribble
TV shows old and new are becoming available on DVD. Take a look at what's new in old favorites and check out some other shows that you may not have heard of.
The public television show "Degrassi High" kicks off this edition of the DVD Dribble. "Degrassi High- The Complete Collection" contains 28 episodes of the show about teenage life in high school. The DVD can consists of the fourth and fifth seasons of the show since the first three seasons were called "Degrassi Junior High" and contain all of the same characters. The special features include "School's Out!" featurette, cast interviews, Degrassi wallpaper and quiz, and DVD-ROM.
Those with an eye for mystery will want to check out "Jericho of Scotland Yard 2." The two-disc set contains "To Murder and Create" and "The Hollow Men." In "To Murder and Create," Inspector Michael Jericho and his crew search for the killer of an atomic weapons scientist. A serial killer who kills couples in love is on the loose in "The Hollow Men." The DVD does not include any special features.
The first season of "Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman" is up next. It's a two-disc set about the friendship of a struggling writer and film company employee who are trying to make it big in Hollywood. There are no special features on this DVD.
Another show with its first season on DVD is "Dexter." "Dexter- The First Season" consists of four discs about the life of a Miami forensics expert, who spends his nights killing the people he convicts. The DVD includes audio commentary by the cast, "The Academy of Blood, a Killer Course" featurette, two episodes of the Showtime series "The Brotherhood," and a DVD-ROM with a Showtime Series Episodic.
Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are on DVD once again. The boys of "South Park" grow up, try to defeat a virtual villain, and learn to deal with the death of their friend Chef in the show's 10th season. "South Park-The Complete 10th Season" is made up of three discs that contain all fourteen episodes of the season. The DVD includes a multiple disc set keep case.
The classic television show "The Odd Couple" has its second season on DVD. "The Odd Couple- The Second Season" consists of four discs and shows the comedy of a neat freak living with a slob. The DVD does not include any special features.
The 24-episodes of the fourth season of "JAG" comes in a six disc set. "JAG (Judge Advocate General)- The Complete Fourth Season" shows more of the former Navy fighter pilot's cases. The DVD includes a gag reel.
The IFC series "The Business" is the last DVD in this Dribble. In the show, a former porn distributor decides to clean up his act and try the independent film industry. The two-disc DVD does not include any special features.
Most of the DVDs covered in this edition of the DVD Dribble contained multiple discs. Now you can take your time and enjoy your favorite TV shows at your own leisure.
