Ledger and Williams Call It Quits

Us Weekly and People" magazine are reporting that "Brokeback Mountain" co-stars, and real life couple Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger have ended their three year relationship. The two reportedly separated a few weeks ago. There has been no confirmation on the split by either of their reps.

Sparks flew when Williams and Ledger met in 2004 on the set of the award-winning film "Brokeback Mountain." The two quickly became a couple and later moved into a Brooklyn, NY brownstone. In 2005, the couple extended their family with the birth of their daughter Matilda. There had been speculation that Ledger and the 27-year-old "Dawson's Creek" actress had tied the knot earlier this year, but there has been no proof or confirmation of the union.

The 28-year-old Academy Award nominee just wrapped up filming his role as the Joker on the latest "Batman" film, "Dark Knight." Williams had been in London the past few months working on the thriller "Incendiary" with Ewan McGregor.
