Luciano Pavarotti Passes Away
The world famous singer died at the age of 71.
World famous opera star and tenor Luciano Pavarotti passed away at age 71. On Friday, mourners came to pay their respects at the open-casket ceremony. Pavarotti died after a battle with cancer. Reuters reports that the funeral will be held on Saturday. It was also reported that the Italian air force will have an "aerobatic squadron... fly over the cathedral before the funeral on Saturday which will be broadcast live on television and on giant screens for crowds outside."
Like former President Lincoln, now too the mellifluous voiced Pavarotti belongs to the ages.
