White Stripes to Cancel Tour Dates
The White Stripes will be making themselves scarce these days, for the near future anyway. In an article on efluxmedia.com, it has been reported that the rock duo will be canceling a number of their coming tour dates, due to Meg White's "health issue." The U.S. tour was scheduled to kick off in New Mexico and was to have spanned 18 concerts over the United States.
The band explained the cancellations as being a result of Meg White's "acute anxiety." The article quotes the band as commenting that "Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time... We hate to let people down and are very sorry." The band's scheduled shows in the United Kingdom will also be canceled.
The White Stripes' newest release is "Icky Thump."
Efluxmedia says that this is not the first, second or even third time that the band has canceled tour dates.
