Giuiani Wins For Fundraising Within Republicans

Presidential candidate and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani edged out the competition to become the highest fundraiser of Republican presidential candidates in the third quarter.

The data is in and Giuliani wins -- at least for third quarter presidential campaign fundraising. In an article in Bloomberg News, according to released figures, Rudy Giuliani was the biggest winner. Rival Mitt Romney's camp reported raising slightly less, $10 million.

Reports have also recently placed Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton's third quarter earnings at $27 million, and her main rival, Barack Obama, as having raised $20 million. Bloomberg News also reports that together the main Democratic presidential frontrunners Clinton, Obama and John Edwards have raised a grand total of $190 million so far for their campaigns, compared to Republican takings of $121 million total from Giuliani, Romney and John McCain.

Elderly anti-war Republican and representative from Texas, Ron Paul surprised some by reporting approximately $5 million in contributions from last quarter, more than twice that which he earned the previous quarter, while Mike Huckabee enjoyed a gain of $1 million, up from about $200,000 in contributions the previous quarter.
