Interview with Owen Wilson Fails to Discuss Suicide Attempt
Fox Searchlight, the studio that released "The Darjeeling Limited," approached MySpace with the idea of an interview between actor Owen Wilson and Director Wes Anderson. The interview, which lasted 5 minutes, was posted on the Myspace website at midnight on Friday. However, the interview itself turned out to be a mere promo for the "The Darjeeling Limited," which was released nationwide on Friday.
Nonetheless, Wilson looked healthy and relaxed during the discussion. He also said that "The Darjeeling Limited" may be the favorite of all his films. The 38-year-old actor has appeared in all of Anderson's films, which include "Bottle Rocket," "Rushmore," "The Royal Tennenbaums" and "Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou."
The interview was his first official one since his suicide attempt, and although, he failed to discuss the incident, it was not announced that he was going to do it in the first place. Immediately following the incident he asked the media to "allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time," through a statement released by his publicist.
