Underwood, Chesney seeing double at CMA awards

Last night's CMA awards had some repeat winners and first time winners.

Last night's top Country Music Awards winners were having a bit of dej? vu. Carrie Underwood took home female vocalist of the year for the second year in a row, as fellow country crooner Kenny Chesney picked up entertainer of the year again.

Underwood's hit song "Before He Cheats" also won single of the year, another coveted award.

Another big winner of the night was George Strait. He took home top album for "It Just Comes Natural" and song of the year for his hit song "Give It Away."

Male vocalist went to Brad Paisley, who also picked up music video for "Online" and performed the song with Brentwood, Tenn., High School marching band.

One group not having dej? vu was Brooks & Dunn, whose winning streak of six in a row for vocal duo of the year was broken by Sugarland.

Taylor Swift picked up newcomer of the year, while Rascal Flatts won top vocal group.

Most of the night's winners did double duty, accepting awards and performing. Underwood, Chesney, Strait, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Swift all brought down the house. Other performances included Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Big & Rich and, most notably, the Eagles, whose performance of "How Long" received a standing ovation.

The event was hosted by big name ABC stars James Denton of "Desperate Housewives," Kate Walsh of "Private Practice" and Paisley's wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who stars in "According to Jim."
