Amy Winehouse's Husband Held on Assault Charges

Blake Fielder-Civil, the 25 year-old husband of British soul singer Amy Winehouse, has been held on charges stemming from an assault case in June. Fielder-Civil is among five men arrested in relation to the incident in which a bartender was assaulted, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

He has also been charged for conspiring with the alleged victim in an attempt to dissuade him from appearing as a witness in the trial, which begins tomorrow. This run-in with the law follows an event last month in which Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were arrested in Norway for possession of marijuana.

The internationally acclaimed musician watched from the gallery in Thames Magistrates' Court in London as her husband was ordered held in custody until November 23.
