Lindsay Lohan Serves Jail Time for Alcohol and Drugs
According to the Los Angeles Times, Lindsay Lohan has served her time for a drunk driving conviction. She spent 84 minutes alone in a holding cell in a Lynwood jail on Thursday as part of a plea deal.
At 10:30 a.m., Lohan was dropped off at the Century Regional Detention Facility by her lawyer. She was photographed, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell, said Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.
In August, Lohan pleaded no contest to drunk driving charges and admitted to using cocaine in two incidents. She was arrested in Beverly Hills over Memorial Day weekend after she allegedly lost control of her Mercedez-Benz on Sunset Boulevard and crashed into some shrubs.
Lohan left the scene of the accident and was taken to the hospital, where police found and arrested her. Cocaine was found in the damaged vehicle, which was driven from the scene and later found at a nearby condominium complex.
The troubled star was then booked on suspicion of drug possession and leaving the scene of an accident, but was not charged because she sought medical help by checking into a Malibu drug rehabilitation center promptly after.
Then, two months later, the mother of one of Lohan's assistants claimed she was being chased by the actress in her SUV. Lohan was arrested in Santa Monica, and when she was booked into jail, Police said cocaine was found in her pocket.
She was released on $25,000 bail and immediately checked into rehab again. Prosecutors said that the amount of cocaine could not be linked to the star or was insufficient to justify criminal charges.
