Showgirls Star to Host New Bravo Reality Show

Elizabeth Berkley Shooting New Dance Competition Series
“Showgirls” and “Saved by the Bell” actress Elizabeth Berkley has signed on to host a new dance reality show on Bravo, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “Step It Up and Dance” will follow contestants as they compete and try to master a variety of dance styles.
The show was formerly known as “Step It Up” and dancers will perform everything from burlesque to ballet. Jerry Mitchell, Tony-winning choreographer of “La Cage aux Folles,” will mentor the contestants.
The show has begun shooting in Los Angeles, and the winner of the series will receive a cash prize. No premiere date has been set.
