Blake Lewis, American Idol Runner Up, Releases Debut Album

Audio Day Dream not such a dream

Blake Lewis, the second runner-up in American Idol's sixth season, releases his debut album, "Audio Day Dream," just two weeks after the season's winner, Jordin Sparks, reports Entertainment Weekly magazine.

Most of the tracks on the album feature Lewis' trademark talent from the show - beatboxing - but the rest of the CD showcases his singing, which is not his strongsuit. Entertainment Weekly's Chris Willman calls Lewis' vocal style a "poor man's Adam Levine."

Willman also says that the album is overproduced and that Lewis does a poor job trying to channel "his brother-in-beatboxing, Justin Timberlake."

Lewis worked closely with Ryan "Alias" Tedder, the songwriter from OneRepublic, on the album, and the best track they put on the album is said to be "Gots to Get Her."
