Quaid To Sue Drug Makers
Dennis Quaid filed a lawsuit against the makers of a blood thinner, after his young twins were given the wrong amount.
Dennis Quaid is quite unhappy with the makers of a blood thinner. According to Reuters, Quaid and his wife are filing a lawsuit against Baxter Healthcare Corp. for its "negligence" in labeling bottles of blood thinner Heparin.
Reuters reports that last month Quaids two week old twins were given vials of 10,000 unit Heparin instead of 10 unit Heparin. Quaid's lawsuit indicates that the mix-up was due to Baxter's similar labeling of the 10,000 and 10 unit vials.
Reuters also reports that Quaid's lawsuit includes information that Baxter had knowledge that three infants had died after similar dossage mix-ups.
