Kanye West Earns Most Grammy Award Nominations

The 50th Anniversary Grammy Award nominees were revealed Thursday, and Kanye West has earned the top spot on the list this year, according to a New York Daily News Report.

The rapper and hip-hop artist who recently lost his mother after a plastic surgery procedure earned a nomination for Album of the Year for "Graduation," which sold almost 1 million copies in its first week.

While West has never won a Grammy in a major category, this is the third year that he has topped the nominations list.

Amy Winehouse came in second to West, and earned nominations in all three top categories: Album, Song, and Record. She was also nominated for the number four category, Best New Artist.

The Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and T-Pain each had five nominations.

This year's 50th Annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, February 10 at 8pm on CBS.
