Two students found dead on campus
In an apartment building designated for married and graduate students on Louisiana State University's campus, two men were found shot to death late Thursday night. The Associated Press reports that Chandrasekhar Reddy Komma and Kiran Kumar Allam, two Ph.D. students from India were discovered in an apartment at the Edward Gay complex by Mr. Allam's pregnant wife. She called 911 at 10:37pm Thursday night campus officials said. Komma, who was a biology student, had been visiting Allam, a chemistry student when the two were killed.
University spokesman Charles Zewe said that both men were shot in the head. He stated that Mr. Komma, 31 years old, was restrained by computer cable, and Mr. Allam, 33, was discovered near the door. The police decided not to lock the school down after the incident, after it was determined that the deadly incident was an isolated attack.
University chancellor Sean O' Keefe said that nothing appeared to be stolen, leaving everyone, even the police, unclear about a possible motive.
Police said that three men were seen leaving the area.
