Michelle Rodriguez is in JAIL!

Former Lost star Michelle Rodriguez checked herself into Lynwood jail Sunday afternoon to begin serving her 180 day jail sentence for violating her probation, reports TMZ.

The actress, who played Ana Lucia on the hit show, was on probation for a variety of crimes, including DUI and hit and run. She violated that probation when she failed to provide proof of completion of her community service and for consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring device.

In 2005, Rodriguez chose a sentence instead of 240 hours of community service after being convicted of drunk-driving. She spent 65 hours behind bars. She said she had an "amazing experience" in prison and had no regrets about being locked up. "It was so cool. I love people, and it was a primal crew. The only thing that keeps them going is fighting for salt and making dice out of soap.

The judge who sentenced Rodriguez back in October specifically said that Rodriguez was not to be granted a work furlough, early release or home confinement and must remain in jail for the entire 180 days. Lynwood is the same jail Paris Hilton did her time in earlier this year.

Last year, Rodriguez was sentenced to 260 days in jail, but because of overcrowding was released the same day she went in.
