Apple Trying For A Blockbuster In Movie Rentals
Apple is making movies as accessible and portable as music with a simple download from their i-Tunes stores.
Steven Jobs, Cofounder and CEO of Apple Inc., in his Macworld Expo keynote speech January 15, 2008, announced that Apple will now be offering downloadable movies to its iTunes customers.
Apple has partnered with 11 major movie studios to make over 1,000 of your favorites available 30 days after their DVD release. For a rental fee of $3.99US for the new releases, and $2.99US for the older titles, you can keep them for 30 days before beginning to watch, but must compete your viewing within 24 hours.
