UK singer Lily Allen suffers miscarriage

Lily Allen and boyfriend from Chemical Brothers deal with an unexpected loss of their child.

According to MTV, UK singer Lily Allen suffered a miscarriage Thursday. The father, Ed Simons, is a musician in the Chemical Brothers. The couple has been together since September and news of the pregnancy came about in December. This was to be their first child. No comments have been made by the couple and Allen's US representative also had nothing to add on this issue.

Allen's Alright, Still LP is in the running for Best Alternative Music Album Grammy. The singer has voiced her frustration about rumors on the Internet about her. She claims she used to go online and blog back to the people spreading rumors that she is a lesbian and to the others who were spreading damaging, untrue rumors about her.

According to Perez Hilton's Web site, a statement from a representative of the singer asked fans to respect Allen and Simons' privacy during this difficult time.
