Entrepreneur Gene Simmons Gets the Donald's "You're Fired"!
Simmons told reporters, "I trusted my gut more than the two executives I met," said Gene. "I'm more qualified to make those decisions, simply because I'm in the people business. I stand by my conviction and my decisions, every one of them. In their present form, the women don't have a popcorn-fart chance of even shining the guy's shoes."
If you think Simmons is merely an opinionated, war painted rock star, think again. According to his official bio, Simmons is a highly successful entrepreneur and business man.
It has been 30 years since he co-founded the rock group, KISS, which has broken box office records set by the Beatles and Elvis. Simmons holds over 2,500 licenses related to KISS merchandising, and KISS has been America's number one gold record award winning group. He even has his own U.S. Postage Stamp.
Not bad for a boy born in Haifa, Israel in 1949 to a German Nazi Concentration Camp survivor who brought him to America at eight and a half years of age. Since then he has learned to speak English, Hungarian, Hebrew, German, Japanese, and has his own magazine, Gene Simmons Tongue.
The Celebrity Apprentice is not his first TV experience. His credits include two reality shows, Gene Simmons Rock School (VH1), and Gene Simmons Family Jewels (A&E). This busy family man with two children is also the creator and executive producer of Nickelodeon's My Dad The Rock Star, and creator of Mr. Romance for the Oxygen network.
