Drew Peterson's Lawyer: Win a Date With Drew
Chicago radio show host Steve Dahl received a surprise call-in early this morning. Drew Peterson, the man officials have labeled as the primary 'person of interest' in the disappearance of Peterson's wife, Stacy, called in to Dahl's radio show with his lawyer.
Peterson's lawyer, Joel Brodsky, delivered the call-in surprise with another kicker: to have a contest later this week, with the winning woman to get a date with Drew Peterson, 53.
Dahl joked that "I think we're probably going to send a chaperone on the date just to be on the safe side," later adding that the last part was just a joke.
The Chicago Tribune described Dahl's reaction as taken aback, but initially agreeing to the surprising offer. Peterson quipped on the radio show that "The ladies are coming back around."
The show segment will not go as planned, it was announced later on Wednesday. The Tribune also reports that that station advised Dahl not to put Peterson on the air again if he was to make another call.
The former policeman has been getting much press since the disappearance of his wife, about 30 years his junior. Peterson has been married before, and the marriage to Stacy is Peterson's fourth.
