Multiple Rx Drugs Found in Ledger's Apartment
TMZ.com reported that there were more than five drugs found in the Manhattan apartment where movie actor Heath Ledger was discovered dead Tuesday.
At 28, the Oscar-nominated actor's death, came as a shock. There have been rumors of a drug overdose. It was previously reported that prescription sleeping pills were next to the bed that where the Aussie was discovered naked and dead.
According to TMZ.com, Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), and Lorazepam (Ativan), all anti-anxiety pills were also found in the room with Ledger, along with Zoplicone (Lunesta), a prescription sleeping pill, and Temazepam (Restoril), a sedative.
And, as the Sydney Morning Herald reported, "The cocktail of hypnotic-type drugs found in Heath Ledger's home could make a sleeping person dangerously unresponsive" according to a pharmacologist.
An autopsy performed Wednesday did not put the rumors of a drug overdose to rest, or come up with a determined cause-of-death. His family is convinced, however, the tragic death was completely "accidental."
