Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson: Splitsville

Singer Jessica Simpson and football player Tony Romo may not be the perfect couple many make them out to be. Apparently, quarterback Romo called Simpson about a week ago, trying to end their romance. OK! magazine quoted a friend of Simpson's as saying that the true breaking point occurred when Romo said he would not move to L.A. to be near Simpson, and Simpson alternately refused to leave L.A. to be near him. OK! quotes the friend as deciding, "It was the moment he realized it wasn't going to work with Jessica in the long term." The same sources say that Simpson was not going to go quietly, and convinced her beau to give them another chance. OK! also reports that the Dallas Cowboys star reportedly tried to convince Simpson that it was over by ... inviting her on a date? With some gutsy humor, he allegedly invited her to go hunting over the weekend, sans "entourage" and home comforts, reportedly hoping it would encourage her to give up! Romo and Simpson have undergone heavy scrutiny since their high-profile romance began. Simpson has received a lot of flack for her role, and a high amount of blame (regardless of whether or not his performance had anything to do with her) for Romo's performances.
