2008 New Kids on the block tour update
As you might have read earlier on TheCelebrityCafe.com, the hottest rumor in the music world is the possibility of a New Kids on the Block reunion tour. And no, this isn’t an April Fools’ Day joke. The original boy band from Boston might be getting back together again for a world tour. Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood haven’t been seen together in more than a decade, but reliable sources like People magazine say that a NKOTB tour schedule is in the planning stages. The news has spread quickly, and already NKOTB fans are organizing online petitions to encourage the band to make the reunion tour a reality. And the latest update comes from ABCnews.com, which posted yet another story about the possible concert tour, noting that the reunion of the Spice Girls was a huge success.
Although there have already been some denials (aren’t there always?) about a NKOTB tour, the band’s own Website, www.nkotb.com, seems to confirm the rumors. The once abandoned site is now prompting fans to sign up for NKOTB concert ticket notifications and asking a tantalizing question, “Are you ready?” Of course the answer is yes – the world is more than ready to buy New Kids on the Block tickets again.
Even though the New Kids are neither new nor kids (they are now well into their 30s), their timeless hits like “Hangin’ Tough” and “Step by Step” are still loved by millions of NKOTB fans, many of whom weren’t even born in the 1980s when those songs were released. Of course it’s too early to say for sure if the New Kids on the Block concert tour will really happen, especially since both MTV and VH1 failed in their prior attempts to make it happen. So stay tuned to TheCelebrityCafe.com and you’ll be the first to know when New Kids on the Block concert ticket information and tour dates are announced. Until then, just Hang Tough!
