Top Iraqi Official Killed
Top police official killed when bomb rigged to car explodes.
CNN is reporting that a bomb, attached to a car transporting an Interior Ministry official, exploded Sunday, killing the official and injuring two police officers that were in the car, a ministry official said.
The official said that Lt. Col. Mohammed Ibrahim worked in National Police Affairs.
Ibrahim was the director of Iraq's police commandos, an elite special forces unit, the Associated Press reports. The two officers accompanying Ibrahim were serving as his driver and his bodyguard. The bomb was detonated while Ibrahim was on his way to work.
