The Olsen Twins Finally Almost Legal!
With their 18th birthday quickly approaching, Hollywood mini moguls Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are preparing to take control of their billion-dollar company Dualstar Entertainment Group.
The pair, who will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday, are also set to release their first major motion picture "New York Minute," May 7, as well as host the season finale of Saturday Night Live May 15.
This type of schedule is nothing new for the Olsen twins, who have been working steadily in the entertainment industry since they were babies, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on ABC's sitcom "Full House." Since their breakthrough role as the loveable Michelle, the two have made everything from videos and CDs, to clothing and cosmetics. Dualstar was created in 1993, and on the girls' birthday, June 13, each will have the title of co-president, and take control of an estimated $150 million, according to Reuters.
Such success has not come without some sacrifice for the duo. The two will miss their senior prom to host SNL. "We're hosting Saturday Night Live that day. It's the season finale, so it's a great honor that we were invited to be the hosts," Mary-Kate told The Winnipeg Sun.
