Grey's Anatomy Actor Speaks About Skin Cancer

Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane speaks out about his bout with skin cancer last year.

Actor Eric Dane is going to be okay. The actor, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan, aka Dr. McSteamy, on Grey's Anatomy, is talking about his recent experience with skin cancer. Dane told OK! that he went to see his dermatologist, who alerted him to the "malignant tissue caused by sun damage." After treatments involving liquid nitrogen and a cream to soothe it (which Dane had a bad reaction to), the actor is pointing out the need to be vigilant about proper skin care: "This is probably something that happened so long ago, but you passed the point of no return with this stuff ... I wasn't so vigilant then, I am now. And I think everybody should be."

Luckily, the 35-year-old actor sought out assistance from doctors early on, and has reportedly beat the potentially deadly disease.
