Jane Fonda Apologizes

Fonda apologizes for slip-up on live TV.

Jane Fonda apologized yesterday for her blunder on NBC's Today show.

The slip-up happened when host Meredith Vieira was interviewing her about her starring role in a 10th anniversary performance of The Vagina Monologues. Fonda made the error while responding to a question about why she had initially turned down the role.

"I live in Georgia, okay. I was asked to do a monologue called 'C---.' I said, 'I don't think so. I've got enough problems,"

The incident acted as a blow to live, television broadcasts as barely a few weeks ago ABC's Good Morning America accidentally let the F-word to slip by uncensored.

Immediately after the interview, Vieira apologized on-air to the NBC audience of nearly six million viewers in an attempt to repair the damage.

Fonda's rep later told the Daily News that "it was a slip. She certainly meant no disrespect."
