Trump Says, "You're NOT Fired"
When Team Hydra, led by project manager Piers Morgan, won the episode's challenge by only a few thousand dollars, nobody in the boardroom, including Donald Trump, felt than anybody on Team Empresario, the losing team, deserved to be fired.
Conversely, had Team Hydra lost, Trump would have had his choice of two people to whom he could have said his trademarked "You're Fired." Both Piers Morgan, America's Got Talent judge, and Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, a former The Apprentice contestant, spent the entire show acting like children throwing insults at each other.
The gloves came off shortly after Morgan announced on camera he would rather be fired than be teamed up with Manigault-Stallworth, whom he described as "one of the most venomous poisons" he had ever encountered, reported RealityTVWorld.com.
Morgan said, "Literally, I would rather shoot myself. I'd say, 'Mr. Trump, fire me. But I'm not going to work for the enemy.'"
It wasn't long before "The Donald" decided to mix up the teams and announced that the new Hydra team would be made up of supermodel Carol Alt, professional boxer Lennox Lewis, plus Morgan and Manigualt-Stallworth -- better known from her first Apprentice days as Omarosa.
As soon as the teams left for their challenge of making money in Central Park selling horse drawn carriage rides all day, the sparks began to fly freely.
Morgan said he was "disrespected" when Omarosa misspelled his name on an accounting sheet. He wasted no time letting her know his displeasure, so she began to insult him as a father figure and brought up his relationship with his children. It only went downhill from there, and everybody was amazed that the team had time to raise any money at all between their verbal sparring all day.
The other two team members tried to keep the two on task, but it was difficult, causing Lennox, the professional boxer, to say, "I've never seen a bad fight like that."
Even Trump's daughter did not want to see this team win and Ivanka expressed it in the boardroom when asked how much they raised, "I actually almost hate to say this, Hydra made $35,184," said Ivanka.
Everyone was clearly disappointed when George said that Team Empresario had only raised $29,673, despite a huge effort by all team members.
The defeated team consisted of country artist Trace Adkins, martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz, actor Stephen Baldwin, and actress Marilu Henner. Although team Empresario had great chemistry and everybody gave the challenge 100 percent, they couldn't compete with Morgan's celebrity friends whom he called in to donate huge amounts for their carriage rides.
Trump admitted he was in an "amazing predicament," but he was happy Morgan would be donating both of the teams' earnings to his favorite charity, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
Since Trump was keeping both teams intact, he told Henner she would trade teams with Omarosa for future challenges. This was after Morgan made it clear he would not work with Omarosa again by saying, "I can tell you now I'm not working with her again on this show. So if it comes down to us winning, I will expect you to separate us or fire me. ... I'm never working with her again. She's a piece of low-life trash!"
After consulting with both George and his daughter and not getting any suggestions from them on whom to fire, Trump ask if any of the losing team members would like to resign. All said they would like to continue and try to raise money for their charities, so Trump finally made his decision.
"No matter what I do it's going to be a disaster," said Trump. "The other team was a total disaster. I wish I could have fired one of the members of the team -- and we know exactly who we're talking about. I'm actually stuck with four great people that did a very good job. This team really understands this is all about charity, and I'm feeling charitable. Tonight, in the boardroom, I'm firing no one. That's the first time I've done this."
Bravo, Mr. Trump!
