The "Crocodile Hunter's" Kids Follow in His Footsteps
According to AP News, Terri, Irwin's widow, while attending an FAO Schwartz promotion with her two children, told reporters her four-year-old son Robert was recently bitten by a baby boa constrictor.
"He picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit," she said. "He said, 'I hope it wasn't venomous,' so I assured Robert I wouldn't actually let him play with venomous snakes," she added.
The Irwin family was at the famous toy store to promote a new line of toys for Robert's big sister, nine-year-old Bindi. A new action figure has been designed to look like Bindi, who stars in Bindi the Jungle Girl on the Discovery Kids Channel.
"It's every little girl's dream to have an exact look-alike doll. It's amazing," said Bindi, who was signing action figure toys of her late father.
Robert and Bindi's father, Steve Irwin, became famous from his TV series and was known for his bravery in handling crocodiles and snakes. He prematurely died at the age of 44 while filming an underwater documentary, when a stingray's barbed tail stabbed him.
