Rock of Love Goes Country
25-Feb-2008
Written by: Mallory Groff

This week on Rock of Love the girls get down and dirty in the country.

Were you too busy watching the Oscars and missed Rock Of Love? So was I, but thanks to the magic of repeats and Tivo, I can still tell you what you missed.

The girls were awakened by Bret to go on a trip to the country. And then we get a big surprise … but maybe not too much of a surprise (it was in all the previews); Rodeo is there to judge in a country obstacle course. Sadly, Megan gets picked last for teams and she explains why she is always left last by saying, “[The girls] don’t understand what it’s like to go through life being, with all the, ya know, turmoil of hotness.”

The obstacle course’s last event is pig wrestling. Daisy quipped that, “These pigs are like seriously … they went to college or something because they’re a lot smarter than they look.” The red team, which was down a person, won the contest. Poor Catherine is now going to be the only one who didn’t have a date with Bret. Once again she lost in a contest that was her thing … wasn’t roller-skating her thing too?

The group date includes eating in the dark. Sexy? Bret says the best part is that he “can’t see all their bumps and bruises.” I thought Bret liked their bumps. In the dark, Kristie Joe uses the dark to her advantage and molests Bret while the other girls talk. It’s kind of creepy. Bret says the dark allowed him to get to know the girls through other senses, such as, “sense of smell, sense of touch, sense of being able to block a punch.”

When they get back from the date, Bret decides to spend more time with Kristie Joe, upsetting multiple girls. He tries to tell her that she seems emotionally unavailable, yet somehow he decides to invite her to spend the night.

In the morning, Catherine decides to bring Bret breakfast in bed. But does she not know that Rock Stars need their beauty sleep? He seems to be okay with it though. I guess food lends to forgiveness, as well as some good old making out with people his own age.

Jessica gets to go on her solo date with Bret. It’s a chance for the two of them to actually get to know each other or shoot at Big John! It’s a day of paintball vs. Bret’s bodyguard, oh and they eat some later.

Even though he had a great date, Bret gets down to business because he must eliminate two girls. Jessica got the first pass because she did a great job on their solo date. Amber gets a pass for kissing amazingly in the dark. Kristie Joe looks angry that Bret kissed another girl in the dark. Kristie Joe soon gets her pass, but isn’t the fact that she wasn’t chosen first after their night together insulting?

It gets down to one pass and three girls, Inna, Peyton and Catherine. He calls Inna to him and gets rid of the two old chicks. It’s kind of sad to see them go, but did anyone really think that he’d pick girls who might be age appropriate? (How old is Peyton really?) And did Catherine really believe that he’d enjoy being woken up early in the morning?

Watch next week on VH1 at 9 p.m. as the girls perform for the Vets!
