“Juno“ Star Ellen Page Drops Out of Raimi Film
2-Mar-2008
Written by: Susie Kopecky

“Juno“ actress Ellen Page has dropped out of Sam Raimi’s newest film due to scheduling conflicts.

"Juno" star Ellen Page has dropped out of Sam Raimi's newest film. Page dropped out of "Drag Me To Hell," a horror/thriller movie set to be shown in 2009. The movie is credited as being written by Sam and Ivan Raimi. Page cited scheduling conflicts in her change of schedule.

Page, 21, has a good early resume, and since her Oscar nomination has reportedly been inundated with a flood of new movie offers. She is slated to be in "Peacock" and "Whip It!" for next year. The "Hard Candy" actress is also listed in being in the 2008 film "Smart People." "Juno" was a surprise success. Though it opened on relatively few screens, the movie began a fast favorite, enticing its backers to open "Juno" on a greater number of screens, as the film continued to earn high levels of money for the few screens on which it was showed.
