Brooke Hogan, Others, Set to Star in New Reality Programming

VH1, after a successful first quarter of prime-time programming, VH1 announces the launch of more unscripted programs.

In a move similar to MTV's, VH1 is planning on adding more reality programming to its schedule, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

To entice viewers, VH1's unscripted series will star in excess of four well known "celebrities." The stars of the four new shows are: Margaret Cho, Luther "Luke" Campbell of rap group 2 Live Crew, and network staples Tiffany "New York" Pollard and Brooke Hogan.

Also announced today is the network's go-ahead for new editions of VH1's Rock Docs franchise centered around James Brown and Elton John, and a new Storytellers starring another reality star, Snoop Dogg.

In its announcement Thursday, VH1 hyped the fact that it has broken the list of top 10 basic cable networks, among adults in the highly-profitable 18-49 demographic in prime time, so far this quarter.

Luke's Parental Advisory will follow Campbell as he juggles being a father, running an adult-entertainment business and planning a wedding.

New York Goes to Hollywood features Pollard as she moves to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress.

Brooke Hogan Knows Best is a spin-off from Hogan Knows Best, which starred Brooke's father Hulk Hogan. Her new series will follow the singer as she moves to Miami to start a new life on her own.

Finally, The Cho Show chronicles comedienne Cho's lifestyle as well as her interactions with her friends and parents.

All four reality shows starring the aforementioned "celebrities" will air this year.
