Ledger Film Will Be Finished with Help from Depp, Farrell and Law
10-Mar-2008
Written by: Jessica Dines

Depp, Farrell and Law agree to play Ledger’s character in new film.

According to Reuters, Terry Gilliam has cast Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law to help finish Heath Ledger’s unfinished role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The filming was temporarily suspended as a result of Ledger’s tragic death, but recently resumed in Vancouver with the Ledger family in full support of the project.

Depp, Farrell and Law will each play a part representing a different aspect of Ledger’s character. The producers of the film have stated that Ledger’s work will be preserved in its entirety without any digital technology modifications or alterations.

Ledger was filming scenes for the movie in London before an accidental overdose caused his death in January.

The film allegedly includes a mirror with the magical ability to transport people into different dimensions. This key aspect is the reason Gilliam was able to switch actors throughout the movie.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a modern fantasy adventure film, which is due for release next year.
