Ellen Will Host "Idol Gives Back"
Non-profit organizations like the Children's Defense Fund, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; Make It Right; Malaria No More, Save the Children; and the Children's Health Fund will all reap the rewards when "Idol Gives Back" next month.
After last year's successful giveaway of over $76 million, Emmy award winning talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has once again been invited to host Fox's star-studded concert on April 9 at 7:30 PM ET/PT.
RealityTVWorld.com is reporting that Fox has announced performers at the concert will include Maroon 5, Heart, Gloria Estefan, Boyz II Men, The Next Great American Band winners, The Clark Brothers, Bono, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Miley Cyrus, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Mariah Carey, Fergie, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Annie Lennox, John Legend and Snoop Dogg.
"Everyone knows it's better to give than to receive," said DeGeneres. "That's why I want to give you some advice. You get the advice and I get the joy of giving - it's a win-win. Here it is: Give yourself a treat and watch 'Idol Gives Back.' Again, you get the joy of giving, and an amazing lineup of artists get to give us an incredible show. Last year, we were able to give away over $76 million. You give, you get. Get it?"
