Tori Spelling Wants to Make Dad Proud

Tori Spelling is hoping to be cast in the "Beverly Hills 90210" spin-off.

The late film and television producer, Aaron Spelling, had hoped for a spinoff of his popular TV show about the rich kids in L.A., and now CW is about to make his dream come true. Even making his dream more special would be if his daughter, Tori Spelling, would be part of the series.

Tori, 34, has now grown past the teenager character named Donna Martin that she played on the original series, and told People magazine, "Well, I am a mom now -- proud to say -- but obviously too young to have a teenager, so maybe I could be one of the main character's young stepmom. Playing the funny sex-ed teacher at the high school would be funny too, considering Donna Martin was America's most infamous virgin."

According to People, Spelling first heard about the spin-off plans while doing interviews for her new book, sTori Telling.

"I thought ... it's about time," she told People. "I'm surprised it took this long for them to make a 90210 spin-off."

"My dad always wanted to do a new version of 90210, so I'm sure he will be beaming from above!"
