A transgender man claims he is pregnant.
An Oregon transgender man is expected to give birth to a baby girl in July, FOX News reported. Thomas Beatie, reported ABC News, claims he is five months pregnant.
Beatie, after being born Tracy Lagondino – a woman – had surgery to look more like a man, ABC reported. He has been taking testosterone ever since. But, according to ABC, his reproductive organs are still that of a woman, which is why pregnancy is still possible.
Nancy Beatie is the transgender man’s wife, but, WLTX.com News reported, Thomas was the one that had artificial insemination to become pregnant.
Still, not all are convinced that the daddy is a future “mommy-to-be.” One neighbor, Ron Schlieper, of the Beaties, said to WLTX, “Quite frankly I think it’s a hoax. I saw him a few days ago. […] I don’t recall seeing a belly. He would have been much bigger just a few days ago.”
