Outkast’s Road Manager Found Dead
26-Mar-2008
Written by: E. Van Dril

Chase Tatum was 34.

Outkast’s road manager, Chase Tatum, was found dead at his home in Atlanta of an apparent drug overdose Sunday, according to NME.

Tatum was also a professional wrestler, bodybuilder and an actor. He had recently appeared with Outkast’s Big Boi in the 2007 film, Who’s Your Caddy, and was a member of the now defunct World Championship Wrestling Organization.

As a result of wrestling for such a prolonged period of time, Tatum’s wrestling reportedly left him with severe back problems that left him to depend upon painkillers, according to NME’s source, Allhiphop.com. Tatum’s father, Roy, said that his son was preparing to enter a rehab facility in the days leading up to his death.

No initial reaction or statement has been released by the members of Outkast at this point, regarding the death of their road manager.

A full toxicology report has been ordered by the Fulton County Medical Examiner, which is expected to reveal the cause of Tatum’s death within six to eight weeks.
