UK’s Leona Lewis Tops U.S. Singles Chart
It is a feat that hasn't been done in a long time, but a twenty-two-year-old songstress, Leona Lewis, has done it.
According to Reuters, the English singer has topped Billboard's Top 100 Singles Chart, with her hit "Bleeding Love," which has not been done by a British female singer here in the United States in over twenty years. Lewis, who is well known overseas, gained more exposure here in the U.S. after guesting on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and garnering rave reviews of support from American Idol's Simon Cowell.
Her new album, Spirit, is due for release in the U.S. on April 8.
