Spears to Return to "HIMYM"?
Ten days after How I Met Your Mother received its highest ratings ever, in large part because of the appearance of Britney Spears, rumors are swirling that Spears will make another appearance on the CBS show.
According to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello's multiple sources, Spears is in talks with the producers of How I Met Your Mother, with both interested in having Spears appear later this season. If she does decide to return, Spears would reprise her role as Ted's stalker in at least one additional episode.
"It all depends on her availability," says one of Ausiello's insiders.
Spears's return seems to be much more important for How I Met Your Mother, who has not yet been renewed because of somewhat subpar ratings. That is where Spears helped the critically acclaimed show ten days ago.
It is unclear whether the return of Spears would also lead to the return of her boss, Sarah Chalke, who was extremely impressive in her first stint on How I Met Your Mother.
