Britney to Return to the Small Screen?

According to the Associated Press, Britney's appearance on How I Met Your Mother was such a success that an executive producer for the series says he's open to having Britney Spears return for another cameo. "We always said, 'You know, if her character pops, we'll bring her back.' I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode."

Spears received positive reviews for her guest-starring role on the March 24 episode of the CBS sitcom. As expected, Spears was able to catapult the ratings of Mother to new heights, while showing her softer side, which the public has missed in recent times.

When asked if there is any hope that Spears might return to the show, executive producer Carter Bays stated, "Could be. There's no reason why not."

Bays added, "It was surreal to see Spears on the set. It was totally weird. . . . I think we have a very, like, kind of midwestern homey vibe here on the show, and it was strange to suddenly have helicopters circling."

Nevertheless, in due time, fans will find out whether Spears will make a second appearance, but as of late, the singer has been busy rekindling an old relationship with manager Larry Rudolph.
