The O.C.'s Mischa Barton Involved in D.U.I. Case

Former O.C. star Mischa Barton is planning to accept a plea deal in her DUI case from December of 2007. According to Access Hollywood, after pleading no contest this Thursday in Beverly Hills, California, Barton is expected to serve probation for three years, unsupervised. She is anticipated to obtain a sentence for a three-month alcohol abuse education class and a fine around $1,700 according to People, although her charge of marijuana possession will be dropped. She was arrested on December 26, 2007 and was charged instantaneously with one misdemeanor count of driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 percent or higher, one for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, one count of possession of marijuana and one count of being an unlicensed driver.

Deputies of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department pulled over Barton's vehicle after they witnessed her car "straddling two lanes of traffic," according to Yahoo! News. Following the event, Mischa Barton was then detained, arrested and booked at the West Hollywood Sheriff's station.
