CBS Cancels Reality Program After One Episode

Secret Talents of the Stars will be replaced by news programming.
In a sign from the American public that they will not consume whatever reality TV the big four networks produce, CBS has cancelled its new reality show Secret Talents of the Stars after only one episode.
The show’s first airing came Wednesday, which saw George Takai, formally of popular shows as Star Trek and Heroes, sing “On the Road Again” in his bid to become a country music star.
The cancellation was made mostly because of low ratings, which started low and declined a great deal throughout the show’s hour-long airing. At the start of the show 4.6 million people tuned in, but that number quickly decreased as the show progressed.
The reality show also saw other well-known people performing things outside of what they’re known for. For example: Clint Black did standup comedy and singer Mya tap danced.
Danny Bonaduce is among the other celebrities who did not get to perform, so his talents will remain hidden.
CBS officials told the Associated Press that news programming is the expected replacement for Secret Talents of the Stars.
