OC's Mischa Barton Charged with DUI

Former OC's Misha Barton has been sentenced to three years of probation after being arrested for DUI.

According to E! Online, Barton was arrested on December 27th after being noticed straddling two lanes and failing to signal before making a left turn by police officers in West Hollywood. She was later released after posting a $10,000 bail.

In the court-case, held in Beverly Hills on Thursday, the actress was given three years of unsupervised probation, a three-month alcohol-education class and was ordered to pay just under $2000 in fines.

However, Barton got off lightly as her charge of marijuana possession and driving without a license was reduced to an infraction.

In an interview with E! News, Barton's attorney claimed, "She realized that she made a youthful mistake. She is pleased with this outcome. She understands the gravity of this but is glad that this is resolved."

Later, the actress spoke up about her misdemeanor on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show.

"Obviously I'm 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case. I'm really disappointed in myself. I don't know what to say about it, except that I'm not perfect, and I just don't ever intend to do something this stupid again."
