Lange Walks Out On Howard Stern Show
Howard Stern Show member Artie Lange walked out on the show today after an argument and the outburst at his personal assistant on the air that followed.
Lange was spotted after he walked out talking to his agent in the hallway. This was brought up to Stern, and he asked Lange's assistant Teddy to come into the studio and talk about the situation on air.
Lange began to express his dislike for Teddy because of recent money issues.
Teddy returned fire, saying that there was more to the job than met the eye.
The two were set to travel to Amsterdam tonight, and their fight started over Teddy's poor job in dealing with Lange's travel accommodations. The argument continued, and after a few short moments, Lange began physically fighting Teddy, but the squabble soon was broken up by those in the studio.
When Lange returned, he said Teddy would be "dead" if he tried to reach him and he would be in jail, according to an Associated Press report.
Stern said that he could not approve of Lange's actions, and that he needed a guarantee that Lange would never do that again.
Lange could not give Stern this, and offered his resignation, which Stern accepted.
